Guia orientativo enquanto ferramenta para auxiliar estudantes na compreensão dos editais de Assistência Estudantil do IFMS

Abstract

This work aimed to analyze the selection of student assistance through the study of public notices developed by the IFMS, in order to understand the difficulty in qualifying for the program. The work followed a qualitative approach, of an applied nature and of a descriptive character, based on bibliographic and documentary research procedures. To achieve the objective, in addition to the study of public notices for the years 2018 and 2019, a semi-structured questionnaire was applied via Google Forms to students participating in the selection in these years and to the Social Workers, responsible for selecting the IFMS. In reading the results, it was found that a large part of the students, who had their registration refused, was due to the failure to correctly present the documentation required in the notice item. Most of them do not read the notice in its entirety, and consider it complex and bureaucratic, often not understanding what is required in the documentary proof of economic vulnerability. The Social Workers, on the other hand, report that the documentation item is difficult for students to understand and classify it as the main consequence of the rejection of registration in the process. With this, an orientation guide regarding the item of the notice 'documentation' was prepared, aiming to help students understand in understanding the requirements of the notice. The intention is to make this Educational product (Guide) available as a support to the notice, in the next selections.
